With Ning, developers can create their own social software tools. Marrow Planet mentioned Bookshelf, another in the line of new book tagging tools that have come around.

Here’s what I like about Bookshelf. It can show how many people are currently reading a specific book. The permanent link for each book also shows who wants to read the book and who has finished it. Imagine this type of interaction in your library catalog. Stay tuned for more on this topic…
