Jessa Crispin on Library Thing
October 19th, 2005Jessa Crispin has a funny commentary on Library Thing:
“It’s the social aspect that becomes addictive, lasting long after the fade of the novelty of digging into the backs of bookshelves to discover two copies of a book you didn’t even like. ‘The whole thing is fascinating as hell,’ says LibraryThing user Laura Carroll. ‘Two anonymous troll types who hang round my blog got talking to each other about Dostoyevsky, of all things, because of having taken issue with the tags I stuck on my Russian novelists. I love the genteel jostling going on for the honor of having the biggest library. It’s all very entertaining.’”
Another great addition to Library Thing: RSS Feeds. Lots of comments on the new feature. Great work Tim.
