Zmed - Free, Full Text Articles from Medline
April 23rd, 2005Verticals are all the rage these days (well, not all the rage, but lots of discussion). Today, Blogsnow led me to Zmed.org, a search vertical for content coming from Medline. The search bar doesn’t do much (it searches a different database, from practical.org), but the vertical is an interesting use of Medline. Not only that, but there are feeds for each subject, which are also broken down into subfolders.
Just something to play with. I wouldn’t fully recommend it for research, but it can be used to keep up with Medline articles. I wish there was a way to search it and get a customized feed. I’m happy that they only link to full-text articles, whereas if I search HubMed, I get abstracts and then have to find the full-text from a library. It’s something else to add to your medical search repertoire.
