Hey NCLive Librarians
April 5th, 2005Lockjaw went to his library today, learned about NCLive and was excited about the results:
“I went to the library today, to do some research. While I was there, I had a great conversation with Michael, the Librarian. We talked about politics, General Patton, microfilm equipment, and other things. He pointed me to a new tool that I wasn’t aware of. Apparently, the state of North Carolina has contracted with outside vendors to allow citizens of the state to gain access to a wide variety of research materials. We can search and read abstracts and full texts of newspapers, journals, magazines, and other sources that aren’t publicly available on the web without a fee. All we have to do is go to www.nclive.org and search. I’ve already found it to be a valuable source.”
Don’t miss this opportunity. Make sure his post doesn’t go unnoticed…
Our patrons are bloggers and bloggers are blogging about their experiences in our libraries (good and bad experiences). Let’s take the bad ones and turn them into good ones and post some of the good ones on our sites.
