Congrats ITI
March 16th, 2005Congrats to ITI on their 20th CIL conference.
Something to note: when this conference started, it was called the “Small Computers in Libraries” conference, which seems a bit odd to me. Weren’t computers bigger 20 years ago? I wouldn’t know. You’ll have to ask the old fogies. I’d name them, but they’ll just keep reminding me how “young” I am.
So, “Big Computers in Libraries”, would have been more appropraite and then change it to “Smaller Computers in Libraries”, and then “Wow, Have You Seen Those Really Tiny Computers in Libraries These Days”. I’d love to see the the huge banner by that name hanging in the registration area. Anyone want to photoshop that?
Update - I was just having fun with the name of the CIL conference from 20 years ago. Sorry. It was meant to be satire. I pulled a Gorman. Get it?
