Don’t Get Political On Us
January 28th, 2005On Monday, I mentioned that I was going to read and report on a book entitled Blog : Understanding the Information Reformation That’s Changing Your World.
I started reading it this AM and realized right away that it was highly politicized. The first chapter was very skewed towards one political agenda over another. I’m still going to review the book (as it makes some good points about blogs beating out the mainstream media, forming a new information gateway, etc), but will not mention any of the politics involved. I’ve made a commitment never to talk politics on LS (well, I did once – I couldn’t help it) and will stick to that commitment. This is not a political blog and it will stay that way.
If anything, the book made for an impressive time-killing exercise as I waited over 45 minutes for the train to Long Island from NYC.
I also apologize for chatting a bit about my commute in some of my posts. I didn’t mean to turn this into a travel blog. But if you look to the right, you’ll see that I’ll be doing lots of traveling over the next 6 months. Thank goodness for AMEX rewards!
