HTML to RSS

January 14th, 2005

Michael Conrad Tadpol Tilstra has created an add-on for NetNewsWire that will create feeds for pages that don’t already have them. I’ve said this before, but no reason not to rant again.

While third party scrapers of content is well understood in this RSS-is not-mainstream-yet world, I can’t help to think that education is key to having companies, web sites, etc create feedsfor their own content. Then again, sometimes we can’t get through to them no matter how much we push. So, while my aggregator reads third party feeds (I’ll take what I can get), I’m certain that we can get our point across more by showing companies why RSS is good for their company, not just for us users.
