Lektora

January 11th, 2005

Say hello to Lektora, a new aggregator that runs on your browser (IE or Firefox). Some features from the press release:

“Simple browser integration — Lektora adds a new button on the browser toolbar. In one click, Lektora gathers news from user-selected news sites and weblogs and presents the information in a familiar journal approach, very similar to reading a newspaper directly within the browser.

Information filtering — Lektora offers a fast feed-wide search capability, highlighting search results in all corresponding feeds. Searches can be bookmarked, making it possible to filter your news to overcome information overload.

Automatic feed management — Each time you refresh your feeds, Lektora presents you with only the latest news items, conveniently saving older news items in a daily archive that can be consulted at a later time.”

As LS readers know, I am in love with Feed on Feeds (we’ve had the longest aggregator relationship so far) and will probably stick with it. That said, I always like to try out new aggregation tools and this one seems worth a look. They also have a blog, so that you can keep up with future Lektora news and features.
