2005 - The Year of the 43 New Goals

January 3rd, 2005

I Furl’d 43 Things last week after reading this quickie article from the Seattle Times. When I read the article, the site had yet to go live, so I revisited both the article and the site this afternoon.

43 Things is a site about goals and how different people can share the same wishes and dreams. These similarities builds on discussions (which users can follow via RSS). After looking though the site a bit more, I realized that 43 Things is about community. It’s about wanting to do something and knowing that there are people out in the world who want to accomplish the same thing as you. Nice.

Take, for instance, a simple task: Using the library. So far, 18 people (as of Jan 2nd) want to start using the library this year. Someone (and I think I know who this is) helps out with a post that the library is not just about books.

Have you set your goals for 2005 yet? If so, have you seen if others share the same ones as you?
