Feedmarker
December 17th, 2004Bruno Bornsztein introduces Feedmarker:
“Feedmarker is a web-based RSS aggregator with del.icio.us-style tagging. It is very, very beta right now…I am not a programmer. I don’t even know what “beta” means. Let me know what you think.”
I gave it a quick whirl. While there are bugs (the “tags” don’t seem to be working), the concept of a social bookmarking tool embedded in a web-based aggregator seems interesting. You “tag” the feeds that you subscribe to based on the categories that YOU want. Could this be the start of a directory for feeds, based on the collective knowledge and not one persons idea of where a resource fits? Feedmarker doesn’t seem to allow me to see other users tags, so that is one suggestion that I have. I would love to see what other people have tagged for specific keywords that interest me.
I’m keeping my eye on this one.
