The library weblog dedicated to resources for keeping current and professional development

Worldcat/Google Bookmarklet created!

September 22nd, 2004

Editors Note: Michael IM’d me within 10 minutes after my call for help and he created the Worldcat bookmarklet. Michael is a tremendous asset to librarians. For the first time ever, LS has a guest blogger. Take it away Michael:

Hi. This is Michael Fagan guest-posting on Library Stuff.

Jessamyn and Andrea did all the work and I replaced I’m+Feeling+Lucky with true to make it work. They deserve all of the credit for this great idea.

So here’s the bookmarklet. Get it (drag it to your favorites links). View any page with an ISBN in the URL (such as on Amazon), and then click the bookmarklet to be taken to the WorldCat record for the book. Comes in two flavours:

Open Record in WorldCat (opens in the same window)

Open Record in WorldCat (opens in a new window)
