Another governmental online data sharing/collaborative effort, this one from New York State. (via Governing.com):

“EASY G-TO-G In the world of data-sharing, the challenge of electronic government is twofold: to share information not only with citizens but also among governments themselves. The lack of a common interface for government-to-government data transfer hampers the process, but the Center for Technology in Government at the State University of New York-Albany is tackling the problem. CTG has built a New York State-Local Internet Gateway Prototype, an experimental Web portal allowing state, county and municipal governments to share information among themselves and conduct transactions through a common interface. So far, data shared through the prototype includes a single contact directory, a dog-licensing application, and a real-property reporting application. An online demonstration is available here.”
