More Nature RSS Feeds
August 5th, 2004I received two e-mails today (one from David Bigwood and the other from Tony Hammond from Nature Publishing Group) with news of more Nature RSS Feeds. NPG has consistently been on the forefront of getting their content to their users in numerous ways. They are also great on the phone. Once I needed an article that wasn’t going to be published for a week, but I really needed it. So I called the customer service and it was e-mailed to me within 5 minutes. Now that’s service. Back to the feeds, my favorite one (and I’ve subscribed to it) is Access to the literature: the debate continues Here’s the scoop on that feed:
“The Internet is profoundly changing how scientists work and publish. New business models are being tested by publishers, including open access, in which the author pays and content is free to the user. This ongoing web focus will explore current trends and future possibilities. Each week, the website will publish specially commissioned insights and analysis from leading scientists, librarians, publishers and other stakeholders, as well as key links, and articles from our archive. All content is available free.”
