Luddite Librarian

I’ve been getting a kick out of the Luddite Librarian. He/She has had some not-so-nice things to say about the Nex Gen Librarian and has had some other interesting comments as well:

“The endless blogs, the listservs, the blog aggregators and RSS feeds, the constant one-upsmanship about whoever can be more “cutting-edge,” the endless posturing and hype about the latest way for people to express themselves as librarians (Hello Kitty earrings, dyed hair, and already-dated fashion statements) and as people in general. When did we all decide that what we had to say was important, much less worth hearing? Well, none of that here. I’m a young librarian new to the profession, and I’m already sick to death of all of us.”

So, grab the feed and hop on the Luddite Librarian train to bitchville. Librarians are, if anything, a fun bunch.
