Rich Site Services @ Your Library
June 6th, 2004My new partner in crime mentions this neat list of “Rich Site Services”:
“RSS(sm): Rich Site Services is a categorized registry of library services that are delivered or provided through RSS/XML feeds”
Nothing new to us as far as content (all of these have been been mentioned by either me or Jenny in the past), but I love the categories that Gerry has put up: Cataloging, Circulation, Interlibrary Loan, Table of Contents. These are great avenues that librarians can explore with RSS. One site that I came across recently that I don’t think has been mentioned are the feeds coming out of the library at UNC-Chapel Hill. Not much there yet, but I’m thrilled that they have started working with RSS. They seem like mostly news feeds coming out of their various libraries.
