Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes
May 11th, 2004Amanda is in need of some help. She wants to keep Bibliolotry.net going, but she’s not sure what she wants to blog about.
“Turns out that, out of no where, I’m doing a lot more library research/writing than I expected so I just can’t find the time to sustain this model. I’m tempted to go back to library links/resources but there are so many others who are doing that better than I ever did so I’m reluctant.”
“I’m not ready to hang it up, and I’ve got the domain until the Fall, so I’m eager to have a last go at it. But what should I do with it? You tell me (or leave a comment). It should probably have something to do with books/libraries because of the domain name, but apart from that, I’m pretty open.”
I go through this a lot. Over the years, LS has changed its focus more than once, from a linking blog, to a news blog, and more recently, to a “keeping current” weblog, which has been it’s mainstay for at least 18 months. It’s a niche thing, Amanda. I know Walt’s quote gets used a lot these days, but he is absolutely right: “First have something to Say”.
So, give Amanda a buzz if you have any advice.
