The library weblog dedicated to resources for keeping current and professional development

Same-Sex Marriage Feed

April 28th, 2004

I’ve been reading a lot (both online and off) on the same-sex marriage issue that has knocked this country on its heels (as well it should). I surfed around for a good weblog that would keep me up to date, but couldn’t find anything substantial nor as inclusive as I would have hoped. So, what’s a librarian to do but create one myself.

I wasn’t about to post manually to a weblog (consider the time factor involved), so I enlisted the help of Blogdigger and created a group, which I think will encompass most of what I want. There is a Pubsub Feed, one from Topix, one from Google News, one from Yahoo News, and one from Feedster. Of course, there is an RSS Feed.

While not as extensive as I would have hoped (the Yahoo News Feed is iffy at best, but it’s the only thing available right now), I think it will help me keep current with the issues involved. Plus, it’s better than anything I’ve seen out there. I am monitoring a few sites on Web Site Watcher, which helps. So, if this issue is as important to you as it is to many people fighting for rights that, in a perfect world, should be theirs without question, subscribe to the feed. And feedback is always welcome with adding more feeds to the mix.
