ODP Feeds
February 23rd, 2004Way back when I was playing with Stapler, I created a feed for the OPD directory of library weblogs. The concept was neat. Be notified whenever something new within each folder gets added to the directory. A great way to keep up with new resources.
Today, Del.icio.us led me to the XML Hub ODP Feed Generator. There are two ways to utilize this tool. First, you can enter a keyword (searching the entire database or within broad categories). Not bad. I threw in my favorite keyword, and the results were interesting. Now for the better half. You can be kept up to date with new additions to any folder by entering the folder URL in the query box. The output will be a feed for that folder. For example, here is the feed for library weblogs.
I’m sure Greg is going to love this, as he is the editor of the library weblogs category (along with a few others).
I would love to do this for the Yahoo directories as well. Oh Jeremy…
