Copernic Tracker
February 7th, 2004Genie links to a press release on a new release by Copernic called Copernic Tracker. Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing trademark and patent research for the past 3 days, but it looks surprisingly similar to Web Site Watcher. (I’m not saying that anyone is doing anything wrong, I’m just saying they look similar).
Desktop applications for keeping current don’t work for me because I am at two computers every day (work and home) and would like to keep everything uniform, a typical problem for those that download software. Thus, I have only been using tools that are web-based (Bloglines for my aggregator, and Watch That Page for the other sites that I want to monitor that aren’t available via RSS. One piece of advice that Gary gave me a while back. If you use anything web-based, keep a back-up list of its contents on your desktop, because you never know when that online resource is going to fold. Good advice…
